About Shavuot
Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks, marks the culmination of the seven-week Omer count from Pesach and commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. It is a time of spiritual renewal and deep learning, celebrated through all-night Torah study, festive dairy meals, and heartfelt prayers. At Kol Rina, we embrace the holiday as an opportunity to reconnect with Torah, community, and the eternal covenant between God and the Jewish people.

Rav Rubanowitz explores the deep significance of Shavuot not as a commemoration of receiving the Torah per se, but as the moment when Am Yisrael reached the spiritual pinnacle of human potential—becoming truly worthy of connecting with Hashem through deveikut (clinging to G-D) and nevuah (prophetic connection). Drawing on the Ramchal, he teaches that Shavuot marks the culmination of a process that began with Pesach, representing the fulfillment of humanity's purpose: to resemble the divine and become vessels for ultimate good.
